Twitter drops thousands of followers from users and blogger’s are upset
As a regular Twitter user (follow vastplanet), I use Twitter throughout the day and night to update on important issues in Internet marketing, e-commerce and fun updates. The concept of Twitter is that it’s a micro-blogging platform so you can have friends that follow what you write and they have friends and so on. You can also follow others to see what is going on as well.
Everything was going smoothly yesterday and noticed I lost about 200 followers and 200 who I was following. I looked deeper into this within Twitter and saw that some users Like Kevin Rose lost 6,000 and had something close to 50,000 prior to the shift. Apparently Twitter is removing some spammers within the service which is good but to the detriment of many users. I review each person I follow individually and was surprised to see the aggressive stance. I am hoping that Twitter reinstates the users and we can all move forward.
Is FriendFeed going to get Twitter users to convert?
On a side note, the friendfeed.com platform is really increasing in popularity due to the failures at Twitter so follow me at vastplanet as well.
